Agriculture is one of Idaho’s most important industries and a major part of our heritage. That’s why I support policies to protect Idaho’s farmers and expand their markets. I am working to open foreign markets to Idaho’s food products, reduce their energy costs, and ensure the future vitality of their land.
On July 11, 2013, I voted for a new five-year farm bill. This bill gives our farmers and ranchers certainty, provides regulatory relief to small businesses, significantly reduces spending, and makes common-sense, market-oriented reforms to agricultural policy. I will continue to be a strong advocate for Idaho’s agricultural community.
