LABRADOR REACTS TO PRESIDENT’S
STATE OF THE UNION

“After a Successful First Year,
Let’s Keep the Momentum Going”

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Raúl Labrador (R-Idaho) released the following statement after President Trump’s State of the Union address tonight:

“After a very successful first year in office, President Trump showed tonight that he remains committed to changing the way Washington works. In 2017, President Trump and Congressional Republicans scored big wins on the economy – passing tax reform, repealing the Obamacare mandate, and repealing job-killing regulations. We also added an outstanding justice to the Supreme Court. Now we need to keep the momentum going and fulfill President Trump’s number one promise to the American people: fixing our broken immigration system. We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to address this problem and make our country stronger and safer. I will continue working closely with the President and my colleagues in Congress to get the job done.

“We also need to tackle other key issues – such as fully repealing Obamacare, reducing spending, and bringing accountability to rogue government agencies – and I will continue working closely with the President on those issues as well.”
