Labrador Receives ACU Award for Conservative Excellence

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Rep. Raúl Labrador (R-ID) received the American Conservative Union (ACU)’s Award for Conservative Excellence for 2016 today.

Rep. Labrador received a 100 percent rating based on 25 votes in the 2nd session of the 114th Congress. Labrador’s lifetime rating after six years in the House is 95 percent.

“On behalf of the people of Idaho, I came to Congress to advance conservative solutions, limited government, and strict adherence to the Constitution,” Rep. Labrador said. “I am honored that the ACU recognizes my voting record and how faithful adherence to these timeless principles will continue to strengthen America.”

ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp said: “Representative Labrador has been a consistent conservative voice throughout his time in Congress. On the tough issues Representative Labrador provides philosophical clarity and we are proud to give him our highest award.”

Founded in 1964, ACU has issued its respected scorecard annually since 1971.
